flavor notes explained

Kiwi - This coffee is a very tasty combination of fruited notes and sweetnesses. Kiwi has a tropical acidity that is a good mix of sweet and bright.

Lemon - We also picked up a lot of perceived citrus acidity. Lemon is a nice tart-forward fruit that has a very aromatic sweetness. This cup has a very tasty, yet tart profile, which we love!

Brown Sugar - Another smooth sweet note shows up in this cup, which caters to the smooth acidity in a complex way.

about Madrigal Family Farm

Ivan Solis is a very passionate and ambitious coffee producer in Santa Maria de Dota. He has decades of high level production experience having worked for various large producers including the world renowned, CoopeDota. His past experiences have given him a deep knowledge of coffee growers to purchase excellent fruit from as well as the best ways to process it. He has built a very impressive operation where he can process and dry mill the coffee fruit he purchases all in the same place. Ivan is always excited to provide all sorts of different coffee profiles and get his family as well as others involved in the business. The family is always growing and evolving their project - thinking towards the future and trying new things.

The coffee used to make this lot hails from the town of San Lorenzo, an excellent micro region of Los Santos. It was grown by the Madrigal Family who are well known for their excellent practices and quality. The Solis and Cordero Family pay very good prices to their partners for the coffee fruit, especially when it is for a unique variety like this Yellow Bourbon. The ideal growing conditions, superb farm management, and great ripe picking lead to awesome fruit for Ivan and his team to work with.
