Archived Sagebrush Coffee

Tanzania Mwika North Organic Gold Label

We apologize for the inconvenience, but this specific coffee is no longer in stock. Coffee beans are a crop and if a crop is fully harvested, then it can no longer be resupplied when sold out (Want to learn more about how coffee works? Check out our blog post about it here).

If you really enjoyed this coffee and would like to purchase a coffee from the same region, then click here.

If you really REALLY enjoyed this coffee and would like us to search for coffees as similar as possible to potentially sell in the future, let us know!

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy your next bag of coffee as much as you did your previous.

Archived Coffee

Once we pick a farm and coffee, we try to carry it for as long as possible.  However, this isn't always nearly as long as we want. This particular coffee is out of stock for the season.  I don't anticipate replacing it with the same coffee in the near future.

Tasting Notes

Tanzania has started to become one of my favorite counties of origin.  They have great complexity, richness, and sweetness.  This one, in particular, is outstanding.  I love the blackberry notes in this coffee, mixed with the caramel sweetness and the juicy mouthfeel.  This is a complex coffee for those of you that love thinking through the flavor notes.  For the rest of you, you'll wake up in the morning and comment, "That is one good cup of coffee!"

About The Farm / Origin

The Mwika North Farmer Group was established in 1984 as a cooperative and as a member of the larger Kilimanjaro Native Co-operative Union (KNCU) — the very first cooperative in Tanzania. The KNCU was established in 1925, shortly after the arrival of coffee in Tanzania.

In 2004, Mwika North became one of the first organic certified producer groups in the Kilimanjaro region. The producers still take pride in following organic farming standards, and this coffee has EU Organic certification status (though not U.S.).
