Tasting Notes:

 This is our first ever coffee from the Latin American Country of Honduras.  I'm not sure what took me so long to sample a coffee from this country, but I won't make that mistake again.  This is the first and only sample I've had from Honduras and it was / is awesome.  Every time I drink this coffee, I comment on it. The smooth chocolate taste.  The fruited fig or dried apricot notes are in the finish / after taste.  There is another spice there, but I cannot put my finger on it.  What I do know is that it makes for a perfect flavor profile.


Production:

Finca La Torre is just under 10 acres in size. It is located in the town of Agua Escondida, in the Department of La Paz, South WestHonduras. The farm is designation by the origin - 'Café Marcala'. The altitude of the farm reaches up to 1700 meters above sea level, and produces the Red Bourbon Variety. 
Surrounded by lush vegetation, the farm is situated within a pine forest.The producer of La Torre is Edgar Carillo, who helps to manage Pacayal Coffee, a small organization of Coffee Producers in La Paz.
