The mass quantities of Ethiopian offerings that we have is a good clue as to my favorite country of origin. Maybe part of it is the variability in flavors from region to region within the country. Or part of it could be the depth of flavor within a single variety of coffee. Or perhaps the fact that I can roast the same bean multiple ways and get a completely different amazing flavor out of it. Regardless of the reason, I love Ethiopian coffee, it's a fact and will be a fact for a while. Which means, we will continue to offer more of these than probably more other countries.
Now for the cupping notes. I was told that this coffee tasted like fruity pebbles. I had to try it because, who doesn't like fruity pebbles. As I cupped it, I struggled to notice the flavor, but I did pick up a nice sweet fruitiness. I wonder if the description lies in the toasty, fruity sweetness of this coffee. My son said, I would never have said fruity pebbles if I hadn't been told to look for it. He might be right, but I'm going with it anyway. This coffee is sweet, fruity and toasty...just like Fruity Pebbles.
