Out of Stock Notice:

As of May of 2017, we have sold out of this coffee for likely the entire year. We source Ethiopian coffee from several different importers and haven't seen this farm show up yet this year.  It is a level-up coffee, and I really haven't heard much from them this year.  I will definitely get this coffee back on our cupping table the day we can find it.  In the meantime, check out our current African Coffee Offerings.

Tasting Notes:

Ethiopian Drima Zede is here for 2017 and I couldn't be happier. So let me break this down, we have established that I love Ethiopian coffees because they are rich, clean and full of flavor including the fruited notes that I cannot enough of.  We also know I am a sucker for dry process coffees because of their fruitiness.  Last, we know Gold labels come in one of a couple of ways.  Either it's a short supply coffee that I love and buy anyway or its a pricier exemplary coffee that I want to offer because it's worth every penny even though it costs a little more than most of our offerings.  Let me tell you one more thing, I was able to get plenty of this coffee.  So it is just exceptional.  The unroasted beans have an amazing fragrance of chocolate and fruit...unroasted!

Now for the cupping notes.  Once roasted, these beans have a nice juicy mouthfeel with a hint of stone fruit.  I get a berry fruited note to it and want to call it strawberry. This is a full bodied coffee without being too strong or at all bitter. This is not for the dark roast lovers in the crowd but is a good rich coffee for medium and light roast fans.
